God Save The Queen...

OK, not really a Royalist, but when thinking what I could put together quickly this weekend, and following on from my Jubilee Going There bag, I plumped for a Union Jack!

Inspired by this purse I saw in Cath Kidston the other week, and having claimed 'I can make one of those', it was time to put my money where my mouth was...

This one measures up at 6"x 8", uses a few of my prized Denyse Schmidt scraps, East of India heart ribbon, shell buttons and some shocking pink lining, and I am in love with it!

It's not perfect, but it's mine!  Now I really do need to think of something to make for Valentine's Day and my sister's birthday, probably should have thought about those before, oops.

  1. It is fab! Where will your stall be at the fq retreat so I can get mine ;-)

  2. I have that "I can make that" mentality, but it doesn't always work out as well as yours! I object to paying 25 quid, just because it's Cath Kidson. Well, I wouldn't actually.

  3. But what will you use it for? Surely you have more pouches now than Pouchy McPouch from Pouchville?!

  8. Lovely pouch, I am going to have to tackle my fear of zips! After 25 years we've kind of stopped doing valentines day, so I don't haveto worry about that one! Have a good half term x x

  17. Very cute!! Although I don't think you are going to have to bother with a name tag Hadley, you will be spotted and identified by your accessories ;)

I might need to go make one of these too.

***it's good and bad that we do not have Cath Kidston stores in Oregon.
    - the internet store doesn't reach out and grab you as easily.
